Scrum Developer Certified

Scrum Developer Certified (16 Hrs)

Scrum is regarded as the de facto way of developing products and managing projects in knowledge intensive industries such as software development. Instead of sticking to a plan that has a fixed scope, Scrum is open to changes in customer requirements in terms of scope, time and cost, while the project is on or mid-way.

Scrum helps teams prioritize tasks, and execute them as a collaborative effort. This Agile project management framework involves everyone, and brings in transparency, visibility, and more opportunities for innovation.

Becoming a Scrum Developer calls for a sound understanding of the language of customers, their expectations, accepting changes in ground realities, importance of teamwork, daily review, and delivering on commitments.

Course Objective

The course introduces all Scrum principles that govern how a project is initiated, planned, executed, controlled, and closed in the Scrum way. Participants will know of a number of Scrum processes used in different sectors and contexts, as documented in Scrum BoK.

In order to facilitate involvement in all stages of project development, the participants are taught in project initiation tasks such as defining a project in customer’s own words or perceptions, breaking down a project into manageable sprints, to understanding the roles of team members at different levels, to delivering value and reviewing effectiveness of the team in execution.

The participants will know how to implement core Scrum methodologies of understanding project requirements, planning projects based on most important value and delivering potentially shippable value, analyzing project’s progress with relevant metrics, visually communicating the project data in terms of efforts made and remaining efforts, and so on.
